[1]This table shows the total tax rate. The operation portion (M&O) of the tax rate is $1.04 for all years shown. The remainder of the tax rate is the part impacted by the bond program. It is called the Interest and Sinking (I&S) Fund rate or the debt service rate.

NISD voters have approved four bond packages since 1998 totaling $1.9 billion dollars. With that, the construction of 39 new schools has been completed, begun, or been planned for.

NISD is growing by almost 4,000 students per year, and 50% of all new homes built in Bexar County are being built here in Northside.
